The thicker leather we use is manufactured by Sedgwicks and used on flaps and skirts, and Pittards for the softer leathers, on seats and kneerolls.
Over the years we have found the liquid G-Wax to be the very best leather treatment. Saddles of 10 years old or more which have come into our workshop that the owner has regularly treated with the G-Wax always look and feel good. We have also tested various leather treatments by soaking samples of treated leather in water for 24 hours then left to dry for 24hrs. The G-Wax treated leather samples have always survived this test best.
