Facts about the FnE Saddles
Totally Adjustable.
FnE saddles are the most adjustable saddles ever made, resulting in the very best fit for both horse and rider. The FnE saddle can be adjusted to fit a wide range of horse conformations: flat backs, mutton withers, short backs, long backs, high withers, hollow backs, big shoulders, high croups, low croups - you name it.
Panels Stay in Shape.
The flexible panels are constructed from high-tech plastics and open cell foam. The foam laminate in the leather or synthetic suede covered panel pads has been selected so that it has a similar compliance (feel) to the horse's skin and muscle. This minimises the risk of pressure points on the horse's back. There is no flocking to go hard and lumpy or become compressed; nor are the panels air filled, so the saddle fit is unaffected by temperature changes.
Excellent Weight Distribution.
The design emphasis is on minimising the pressure on the horse's back by distributing the rider’s weight through a cleverly engineered large, flexible, flat panel assembly, covered with a unique shock absorbing laminated foam pad.
Close Contact, Comfort and Balance.
The foam padded seat on the saddle tree, where the rider sits in great comfort, has a controlled flex and therefore offers a deep seat sensation. It follows the lateral twisting of the horse's back as it moves in walk, trot, canter and gallop.The seat is independently adjustable for rider balance and the stirrup bar is easily moved to fit the individual rider. The result: a perfectly balanced riding position without effort or strain, leaving the rider free to apply the aids and move in harmony with the horse. As riding instructor Marlene Moss a little wryly says: "I have felt guilty giving riding lessons in an FnE and the student gets a correct seat very easily and then can't reproduce it with any of the vast majority of saddles available."
Can Cope with Asymmetric Horses or Riders.
One of the most remarkable advantages of the adjustment system is that the saddle can be adjusted to compensate for an asymmetry in either the horse or the rider or both. This means that the FnE saddles can correct for sideways slip or for horses whose movement causes saddles to twist at the cantle end, pushing the panel onto the spine.
